Ray Blanco was once a drummer for a band named Home Town Hero. The band was able to shape up its professional image by performing at the world famous Whiskey-A-Go-Go. In 2000-2001 the band participated in the Vans Warped tour which gave the the national exposure, ultimately leading to them eventually performing with Hoobastank and Onesidezero.[1] Home Town Hero would eventually split up and Ray Blanco would move on.
He would become the 2003 Lalapalooza Drum Tech Jose Pasillias II. In 2004, Ray Blanco was with "Fader", voted best band in Los Angeles in 2004 by Gibson Guitars.[2] In 2005, He became part of the group the Bangkok Five. In 2006 The Bangkok Five toured with Papa Roach throughout Europe.[3] The Bangkok five have had made several albums including "We Love What Kills Us" and "Who's Gonna Take Us Alive?" Ray Blanco is currently still with this group.
Outside of being a drummer,Ray Blanco started a bar called the Lowtide Lounge in Esterillos Oeste, Costa Rica.He also became owner and executive producer of Generator Productions (see Home Town Hero). He teamed up with Derek Dale to produce music videos of all genres. Derek Dale directed the video "Superfly" for the popular christian band The O.C. Supertones.[4]
